Below are our 2026 Ride Outs for the East Kent TOMCC. If you would like to Join us on one or all of our Ride Outs & Breakfast Meet Up’s you must first of all be a Member of East Kent TOMCC – Be compliant in the “Second Man Drop Off ” group Riding procedure – Completed Our “Activity Waiver ” form which you are able for you to download below. Fill them in and return them to Our Club Secretary – Richard Weller.

Club Ride – Single Day Trip to Trenches, Museum at Vimy Ridge & the Menin Gate / BOOKING CLOSED
SUNDAY 7th JUNE 2026
Meet at Eurotunnel, Folkestone. This a single-day ride which will take a ‘scenic’ route to Ypres with a stop for lunch midway and an evening meal at Den Anker Restaurant / Menin Gate for 6pm, before attending the Last Post Ceremony.
Richard has emailed out to East Kent members full details The only booking required from you will be for the Shuttle crossing. Meanwhile, can I ask you to let us know if you intend to join as we had a lot of bikes the last time we went and I will need to book the evening restaurant well in advance.

Romney Marsh Ride-in Show at Ham Street
SUNDAY 28th JUNE 2026
Hamstreet, Kent TN26 2JD – 8:30 am. With easy access from the M20 motorway at Ashford. Use postcode TN26 2JD and follow the signs when you enter Hamstreet village.
Visitors riding their own bike to Romney Marsh can enter the Ride-In Show, with £25 spot-cash prizes on offer for the Best Classic (pre-1980) and Best Post-Classic machine. There’s no extra charge – just ride in, pay the regular entry fee and park in the designated Ride-In Show area.
Prize-giving takes place at 1pm.

Club Ride – Normandy / SOLD OUT
5th – 11th JULY 2026 – 6 NIGHTS / 7 DAYS
We plan to use the Ibis Budget Bayeux (or similar) for accommodation. There will be a full week of excursions to include the D-day landing beaches and museums, tours of the Pays d’Auge, the Suisse Normand and the Cherbourg Peninsula and a day out to Mont St Michel.
If Members would like to still go, Richard can send you hotel & tunnel times/details. But you will have to book these yourself.

SUNDAY 26th JULY 2026
Meet at Chilham for a 10am prompt departure. One of the main attractions in Burwash is Bateman’s, the former home of the famous author Rudyard Kipling. The house is now a museum and is open to the public, offering visitors a glimpse into the life of the author and his family. The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens and woodland, which are perfect for a leisurely stroll. It is then onto Lime Wharf Cafe near Rye for re-fueling and coffee.

Club Ride – Bodiam
WEDNESDAY 5th AUGUST 2026
Meet at Chilham Car Park for a prompt 10am depart.
At the heart of this historic settlement stands Bodiam Castle, a magnificent fortress constructed in 1385, whose impressive silhouette, surrounded by a wide moat creates a scene straight from a fairy tale. For those who enjoy nostalgic travel and just a short walk from the castle is Bodiam Station where locomotives transport visitors back in time to the golden age of steam travel.

Heritage Sprint 2026
SATURDAY 8th – SUNDAY 9th AUGUST 2025
This is a brilliant local event so make the effort to put this weekend aside and let Richard or Barry know if you can help with putting up marquee early on Saturday morning and taking down on Sunday late afternoon as well as chatting to new members and joe public, Tea / Coffee / Bacon Sandwiches will be supplied both days for East Kent members whom are helping and working in the Marquee.

Dover Transport Museum – 2026 Classic Motorcycle Show & Raffle
SUNDAY 13th SEPTEMBER 2026
East Kent will be attending this 2026 event with their marquee and a members motorcycles display. Exhibitor entry is from 0900am and visitors from 1030am. A full catering service will be available all day. Exhibit your classic motorbike and enjoy full access to the museum and event for the day.
No booking required and no charge for exhibitors (although a £5 donation is encouraged) with all bikes 40+ years old qualifying.
The last opportunity to buy tickets for the AJS Tempest 125cc as the raffle will be drawn at 1300hrs: this year we also have a second prize of £100 and a third prize of an annual family ticket for the museum.
